Individual Therapy

I work with adult clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship issues. During our initial sessions, we will discuss and process the issues at hand, as well as developing therapeutic goals to help get your life back and feel empowered.

Managing Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma related Symptoms

By utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, psychodynamic, and mindfulness, I assist clients in creating coping tools to help manage their depressive and anxious symptoms. Some might call it “tough love”, but I also bring awareness and challenge clients’ negative thought patterns to help them form a healthier relationship within themselves and help heal from any childhood wounds or negative messages they may have received from their past. Utilizing a holistic approach, clients will also learn how previous trauma can impact not only our internal thoughts, but our physical well-being as well. Alongside this, clients will learn techniques to manage symptoms that may have developed from traumatic experiences. Within individual therapy, clients gain self-awareness, increase self-esteem, improve emotional regulation and stress management, and so much more. I meet clients where they are at, and work with them on their journey of self-love, healing, empowerment, and growth.

Navigating through Relationships and Understanding Attachment Styles

Unfortunately, many people have suffered through emotional, mental, and physical abuse, and/ or narcissistic abuse in relationships. Experiencing this type of trauma can have long-lasting effects such as low self-esteem, increased self-doubt, an anxious or avoidant attachment style, lack of boundaries or people pleasing in relationships, as well as an increase of depressive and anxious symptoms. Some may leave a relationship, or still be in a relationship, and feel “crazy”, when really, they just might have been experiencing gas lighting or other forms of manipulation. In individual therapy, clients can learn coping skills to manage symptoms mentioned above, as well as increase confidence, healthy boundaries, self-love, gain awareness about their attachment style, and overall heal and gain a sense of empowerment.
